They shared 51 years of marriage, before Roland passed away in 1994. We are sad to announce the passing of Samuel Elijah Sias of Hampden, MA. He left this earth to soon at the age of 26 on December 2, 2022. Samuel passed away after a battle with mental illness.

So very sorry for your loss; Glen was always a good friend and we spent many an eve with others out and about. A wonderful, calm man and someone I looked up to in hard times. Byron was a dear friend and we will miss him very much. It will take a long time to fully realize he is gone.

Alice Irene LaVallee, 101, of Springfield, passed away on November 21, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Wallingford, CT, on January 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie-Ann Lamoureux. Alice was raised in Bristol, CT, graduating from Bristol High School in 1938. She married Roland A. LaVallee in 1943 and together they moved to Springfield in 1946.

Byron seemed a great guy, and he was someone I looked forward to getting to know better, and to work with. Byron was a charismatic leader and thoughtful mentor.
